Historically the Sandringham Sawmill served only the Sandringham Estate. The Sawmill produced timber products for use in the grounds of Sandringham House as well as the surrounding 8,000-hectare Sandringham Estate.
Fencing, gates and timber structures are in high demand on such a large estate which includes a 240 hectare Country Park, arable, livestock and fruit farms, and commercial and residential properties. Producing its own timber helps the Estate to remain self-sufficient and managed to a high standard.
In 1988 the Sawmill opened its doors to the public for the first time. Its aim was to sell high quality, British-grown timber products, with a focus on customer service and competitive prices.
Sandringham Sawmill currently produces around 175 timber products for retail direct to the public, including sawn timber, fence panels and posts, garden furniture and firewood. The on-site shop sells everything you need for your project including hand tools, ironmongery, paint and postcrete.
All timber sold at the Sandringham Sawmill is British-grown and pressure treated using Celcure AC-500.
The Sawmill constructs all fence panels and trellises in the on-site workshop and will cut timber to order. For more information about the services available at the Sawmill please click here.
